The BMW Instrument Cluster manages the on-board computer and display functions. CarCoding allows you to modify 48 settings within this unit. The app supports 12 unit versions, and for F/G series vehicles, the unit is read from the car via SVK.
You can adjust display options, HUD features, and driving modes. Example settings include digital speed in the board computer, HUD music lists, low fuel warnings, and SPORT+ driving mode.
Display options instrument cluster

| Digital speed in board computer | Enable/disable the display of the digital speed in the board computer. Please toggle the displayed information in the board computer with the button in the turn signal lever until the specific display appears. |
| Empty menu item in board computer | Enable/disable the empty menu item in the board computer. |
| Average values reset | The average speed and consumption is reset after the set time automatically. |
| Date in board computer | Enable/disable the display of the date in the board computer. Please toggle the displayed information in the board computer with the button in the turn signal lever until the specific display appears. |
| Start logo | The logo that is displayed in the center of the screen during instrument cluster startup. |
| M Performance logo | The model-specific M Performance logo that is displayed in the bottom right in the instrument cluster. |
| Fuel consumption display maximum value | The maximum value of the fuel consumption display. |
| Additional digital speed in speedometer | Enable/disable the additional digital speed display in speedometer. |
| Speedometer scale end value | The end value of the speedometer in the instrument cluster. |
| Logo | Central logo displayed in the instrument cluster screen. |
| ALPINA display style | Activation of the ALPINA display style. Please note that this option only works if the car is equipped with a fully digital instrument cluster. Use a backup to revert this coding if needed after it has been applied. |
| Speedometer up to 200 mph | Activate the maximum display speed in the speedometer up to 200 mph. Please note that this option only works if the car is equipped with a fully digital instrument cluster. Use a backup to revert this coding if needed after it has been applied. |
| Start animation | The start animation that is shown in the instrument cluster when starting the motorcycle. |
| Menu speedlock | The speed at which operation of the menu is blocked. |
| Maximum display speed | The maximum speed displayed in the instrument cluster. |
| Odometer display duration | The duration of the odometer display after the motorcycle is turned on. |
| Layout | Change of layout in the instrument cluster. Please note that the layouts are not fully compatible with hybrid vehicles. |
| Diesel logo | Enable/disable the Diesel logo. |
| Refresh rate digital speed | The refresh rate for the digital speed display in the instrument cluster. |
| Redline Tachometer | Adjustment of the redline on the tachometer. The options 5,000, 6,000, and 6,500 RPM are only available with the M Performance, M Sport, and Standard layouts. The options 7,200 RPM and 7,500 RPM are exclusively available with the M layout. |
| Logo | Change the logo at the top of the display. |
| SPORT mode background image | Change the background image behind the speed display in SPORT mode. |
Sport displays

| Sport displays | Activate the Sport displays in the instrument cluster. Use a backup to revert this coding once it has been applied. |
| Lean angle display | Display of the lean angle in the instrument cluster. The sports displays must be activated for this function. |
| Lean angle minimum angle | The minimum angle for displaying the lean angle in the instrument cluster. |
| Lean angle maximum value while driving | Display of the maximum lean angle while driving. The sports displays must be activated for this function. |
| DTC torque reduction display | Display of the DTC torque reduction in the instrument cluster. The sport displays must be activated for this function. |
| DTC torque reduction maximum value holding time | The maximum DTC torque reduction value is displayed for the set hold time before falling back to 0. |
| Braking deceleration display | Display of the braking deceleration in the instrument cluster. The sports displays must be activated for this function. |
| Brake deceleration maximum value holding time | The maximum value of the braking deceleration is displayed for the set holding time before it drops back to 0. |
Hud

| HUD voice input | Enable/disable voice input display in the HUD. |
| HUD turn signals (1 of 2) | Enable/disable the turn signals in the HUD. Please note that “HUD turn signals (2 of 2)” in the “Headunit” control unit has to be enabled additionally. This function is not supported, if the car is equipped with a fully digital instrument cluster. |
| Sport displays in HUD (1 of 2) | Activation of the sports displays in the HUD. Please note that “Sports displays in the HUD (2 of 2)” must also be activated in the “Headunit” control unit. After coding, the sports displays must be activated in the settings for the HUD in the iDrive system in the car additionally. |
Laptimer

| Laptimer debounce time | The debounce time for laptimer activation. |
| Laptime display duration | The duration of the laptime display after stopping the lap timer. |
Fuel reserve warnings

Your vehicle must be equipped with “Active Cruise Control”. Once coded, the feature can be enabled via iDrive under: Car > Settings > Displays > Instrument Cluster. Driving mode

Range extender
