The CarCoding app connects to your BMW using an ELM327 BLE OBD2 adapter to access the Seat Module Driver. This unit manages seat heating functions and is found in F/G series vehicles, where it is read via SVK. The module supports two software versions and allows changes to four specific coding settings.

You can modify settings within the Seat heating/cooling and Easy entry sections. Available options include adjusting the seat heating/cooling setting memory, configuring Easy entry seat movement, and changing the Easy entry seat travel.

Easy entry

Setting	Description
Easy entry seat movement	In order to make it easier to get in the car, the seat is automatically moved back when unlocked and then returns to its original position when the ignition is switched on. Please note that the car has to be equipped with electrically adjustable seats with memory function.
Easy entry seat travel	The seat travel of the seat when easy entry is activated.
Easy entry protection area	The protection area limits the rearward travel of the seat when easy entry is activated.

Setting	Description
Seat heating/cooling setting memory	The memory duration of the seat heating/cooling settings.
